Our Hearing Aid Audiologists

At Help in Hearing we have two dedicated audiologists to look after your hearing, Selma Becker and Kevin Jeffery. Meet our audiologists below:

Selma Becker

FSHAA  MD Help in Hearing
Selma Becker - Audiologist
Selma Becker, Managing Director and senior hearing aid audiologist has been looking after peoples’ hearing needs and dispensing hearing aids for over twenty years.

Formerly a cardio-thoracic nurse working in the intensive care unit at the Brompton Hospital in London, Selma became interested in Audiology and in solutions to Audiological problems and thus trained to be a hearing aid audiologist in the late eighties.

Having passed the required exams, Selma worked for the next 15 years in London’s medical district including Harley Street.

In 2005, aware that John Andrews was looking to retire from his Farnham Common Practice, Selma, along with her partner, now husband Jeremy Parker (Marketing Director), bought the company and Help in Hearing was born.

With the emphasis on a friendly and caring approach of people’s hearing needs, Selma’s experience and professionalism has grown the company to such an extent that Help in Hearing opened full time premises in Marlow under the care and management of Kevin Jeffery.

Kevin Jeffery

FSHAA Principle Hearing Aid Audiologist, Help in Hearing Marlow
Kevin Jeffery - Audiologist

Kevin was a friend of Selma’s even before he became a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist and in fact it was Selma’s enthusiasm for her chosen career that influenced Kevin to follow suit.

Kevin started his career in Audiology in 1994 and was one of the youngest Hearing Aid Audiologists to qualify at the time. Working originally in the South East of England, he eventually ended up working alongside with Selma in the medical district in London where he remained for the best part of ten years before joining Help in Hearing in 2006.

As with Selma, Kevin’s ethos is in administering special care and attention to his client’s needs, particular in aftercare and rehabilitation, to such an extent that clients have traced and tracked him down to Help in Hearing in order to continue an ongoing professional  relationship with him.
